• Combine three factors:  Structure, aesthetics and puzzle.  A good sense of direction helps, as does a love of solving puzzles. Our brains like to make sense of spaces, everyone gets lost in a maze, there’s a thrill of getting lost… but safely lost… which is fun!  Critical maze-solving invites us to navigate using a range of cognitive-skills: spatial-learning, memory/working memory, decision-making, and general reasoning ability.
• Cracking the maze with family/friends is collective achievement, building trust/unity. It is entertainment including: tower, cross-over-bridge, gates, gardens, and more to puzzle the mind.
